Part installation and part performance, Thunderous Wondering features aluminum and ceramic instruments that I made, along with drummers improvising with the instruments and interpreting graphic scores that I also created.
Many of the resulting instruments are studies for an interactive public sound installation. As music and listening become increasingly digital experiences via streaming and recorded music, we explore alternative ways of creating and experiencing the power of sound.
