This work explores strategies to visualize and spatialize sound while augmenting the sound palette of the traditional double bass. It employs 80m of delicately prepared ‘song-strings’ to create a quartet from a single instrument. With beads, fabric, and various objects sewn into them, the ‘song-strings’ are pulled through the double bass, utilizing the instrument's structure to amplify their sound.
